I spoke to the kids who attend the Summer Camp at the Salvation Army this week about healthy eating habits. Recently, they have been making healthier choices with their food and drink but the Director thought it would be helpful to teach them HOW to eat. HOW one eats is just as important as WHAT you eat!
We discussed sitting down while eating or drinking anything; eating without doing other things; not eating before going to bed; chewing your food. I brought samples of my caramel corm that was made with brown rice syrup and no sugar. The kids loved it and did not miss the sugar! I had a great time and I hope they will remember this habits for the rest of their lives.
