I just returned from a week in NYC and attended the taping of the television show, The Chew, with my girlfriend Amy. Even though we had tickets, we had to get there by 7:30 a.m. because they basically oversell the show in case there are no shows.
We were seated in the front row behind the tasting table row. During the break, Carla, one of the co-hosts was dancing in the aisles and since I was on the aisle, I danced with her. The show plays a lot of fun music in between segments to get you really into the show and to perk you up because it is early. They have a stand-up comedian who gets you to laugh and tells you when to clap, chuckle and ooh and ahh.
It was great to see how a national tv show operates and has the food ready for the next segment. The day we filmed, Bobby Flay was on the show. We all received a copy of his latest cookbook. It was a lot of fun!
The show will air May 20th, so tune in if you want to see me in the front row!!
