“Fry sauce” is something I had never heard of until I moved to Idaho. It is made from a combination of mayo and ketchup and they use it as a condiment for french fries. It is served here automatically when one orders french fries.
I was making a vegan Russian dressing for my tempeh reuben, when I decided it would make a much healthier Fry Sauce. I took one part Vegenaise (a non-dairy, eggless condiment similar to the taste and texture of Miracle Whip) and then one part fruit-sweetened ketchup. I combined them together and refrigerated it for approximately 15-20 minutes prior to serving.
Who says you can’t have your fries and Fry Sauce too!
